    Small is beautiful

       
    In his weekly editorial the founder of Monocle https://monocle.com/ talks about Beirut and how it has kept a lot from the past in good working order. He talks about the power of human contact in the service industry as well. Not all that is new, data driven and AI steered is good.

    A day earlier I read an interview with Geert Noels https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2019/03/22/we-moeten-af-van-groot-groter-grootst-a3954278; an economist and author of the book Gigantism who propagates the idea that we should stop with striving for more and bigger, instead focusing on better, closer, more intimate and more personal.

    A buzzword or something real? It’s not easy to live and act sustainable if governments don’t implement strict rules and regulations and if companies offer all sorts of products and services at ridiculously low prices.
